“It’s about connection,” says founder Lauren. “We want folks to come out here, meet other humans while their dogs meet other dogs, and reconnect with the outdoors. It’s all about fostering a sense of belonging—for people and their pets.”
The idea for Brewhound came to Lauren after countless trips to traditional dog parks with her own dogs.
“I’d think, ‘Why isn’t there coffee here? Why isn’t there beer?’” she recalls. “I wanted to create a space where people wanted to stay longer—a better experience for dogs and their humans.”
With that vision in mind, Lauren and her team built Brewhound from the ground up, incorporating elements of fun, comfort, and community at every turn. The result? A place where dogs can roam leash-free while their owners relax and connect with each other.
Since opening, Brewhound has hosted countless events to support local rescues, foster adoptions, and give back to the Jacksonville community.

“At first, I thought we’d just have one or two t-shirts,” Lauren says. “But people kept asking for more. Now we’re doing everything from custom towels to foil-printed shirts, and people love it.”

“It’s amazing to see someone in another country with a Brewhound shirt,” Lauren shares. “It’s like free advertising—but more importantly, it’s a reminder that Brewhound is part of their lives, even when they’re far from Jacksonville.”
